Well, the weather didn’t cooperate with us today. Winds and clouds we’re outside of our allowable limits, so we’re packing it in and we’ll try again tomorrow. Launch window opens at 8:00 EDT on Oct. 28 and continues through until noon.

Launch coverage on NASA TV begins at 5 am EDT – www.nasa.gov/ntv

Sometimes, I really hate the weather!!! If only NASA could get some serious money from somewhere for localised weather modification, then it would be the best of both worlds!

What happens tonight (Tuesday) when the uncovered five-hole probe gets rained on? Rain is approaching the area as I write. Sure hope all is well with Ares 1-X.

The countdown haltet at T-4min.
When the launch was cancelled
for today, how much of the
previous actions have to be
"reversed", and where does the
new countdown start tomorrow?

Sorry that things didn't work out today - you got so close to launching!
Good luck for Wednesday, Ares 1-X looks like a great vehicle, I hope the Constellation program is successful.

What happens to the "five-hole-probe" if it rains tonight? From what I understand it was very important to not remove the cover before a launch was confirmed. Now that the vehicle have to sit there for a long time without a cover, will this create problems tomorrow?

Sorry that it didn't happen today, I was really looking forward to it as well. According to NOAA.gov the weather at the cape should be clearer tomorrow, and if it bashes your launch window then too, there is no precipitation or adverse weather at all expected Thursday.
In short, tomorrow and the day after your chances will assuredly improve.

I continue to wish the team all the best, and hope that tomorrow all the conditions come together for a successful launch!

Good fortunes tomorrow for Ares Launch.

I had Launch Fever pretty bad on Fark yesterday, it was fun!
