In our last post, we talked about some of the concepts we’ve been working on for a new button linking to information about NASA’s new programs on the NASA homepage. We’ve reviewed a lot of the initial feedback and have narrowed down the concepts to one from the earlier selection, and a new one based upon feedback left by a few folks. We also have narrowed down the labels to a couple of choices using the same feedback.Check out our refined concepts:

Hey there I am so glad I found your site, I really found you by accident, while I was researching on Aol for something else, Anyhow I am here now and would just like to say thanks for a tremendous post and a all round thrilling blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read through it all at the minute but I have book-marked it and also added in your RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read a lot more, Please do keep up the fantastic work.
Both icons seem well thought out .. A is a bit more complicated and may be more appropriate on text . B has immediate recognition factor for both the youngest eyer and us oldsters including all in between .For the User I would choose B.

Wow A is perfect.. Man discovering new planets :)
The best labels are the ones that require little or no interpretation. "Beyond Earth" is much more vague than "Human Exploration", so I'd choose the latter.
The "A" icon does a better job of conveying exploration, IMO.
Much prefer icon A, I think it has more impact as the astronaut is looking out, possibly a reference to NASA's outward looking view towards its future, and human exploration is my choice for your label concept. Looking forward to the results!!
ICON: In the previous round I voted for (what is now) choice 'B', but now prefer the current 'A' choice (nice job!). I also agree with JED that you should look into tweaking the size of that bottom-right star.
CAPTION: "Human Exploration" no doubt. My beef with "Beyond Earth" is that there are already several categories dealing with "beyond Earth" stuff (Solar System, Universe, Moon & Mars), muddling the meaning of this category.
Of the two icons, I think A is the more aesthetic, but I'd be happy with either icon.
I prefer the Human Exploration label, because I think it's direct and to the point, and differentiates from other, non-manned missions, and would help users navigate the site.

Icon A shows the future direction of NASA beyond LEO
Missed the earlier post but I think:
Icon A - because it implies that the exploration is much further afield, and,
Legend 'Beyond Earth' for much the same reason and it also avoids any ambiguity with the general word 'Exploration' which could be taken as exploration on Earth itself.
Loving the website and NASA TV by the way.

A is better because I believe it represents NASA's goal of going beyond LEO. Great ideas, for sure!
I think "A" is great at illustrating a bold new horizons towards the future sort of feel... but id lose the biggest and brightest star next to the astronaut. Skews the visual effect of the explorer looking into the distance.
I love concept A. It is nice to look at and shows the concept of exploration. I don't like the second as much...maybe because there is no stars or planets. :)

I love choice A. Perfect representation of exploration while the other looks like it is for the astronaunt's stories.
I definitely say A. It's a more attractive icon aesthetically and in terms of design and showing an astronaut looking toward the planets and stars sends a clear message full of wonder and a desire to discover what's out there.
I like Beyond Earth but I think either of the sayings is fine, though the Human part just feels like "extraness" since I think we would just assume that we mean us :)
Love A for icon. While making it Mars is cool, unless it's red, it may get lost in the translation.

I really like "Beyond Earth" better for the label. It's got that mysterious quality, not quite as cold and scientific as "Human Exploration." Gives it that dreamlike feeling. Sort of like asking, "What's beyond the horizon." Implies curiosity in an emotional way.
As for the icon, I love A, but the simplicity of B is a real draw. A shows us looking out to the stars and other planets, but B is just so simple and clean. I'm really torn on this one, but B wins slightly for me.
A is good..catchy for every one readable/clear .....
I like A, but I think that gas giant should be changed to Mars, add an asteroid and the Moon in place of one of the stars.
And, definitely the "Human Exploration" label.
No I think it is fine......but will get back with new ideas...if arises in my mind.

B and Beyond Earth were my initial favorites, so I'm glad to see they've been included here. Still standing by both. :)

I think (A) because it seems to expand your mission. :)
I like A better -- it's much more "readable" and conveys the concept at a glance.
I think you should us (A) It expands your mission..
I would say that A is the best one of the two.
Whether it is intended to be an astronaut looking at Earth or another planet, it still has some kind of aura of wonder about it.
