WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BEST EXPERIENCE AT NASA’S GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER IN GREENBELT, MARYLAND?
My best experience was going to the event featuring NASA Astronaut Mike Hopkins and his talk about his time in space for the 37/38 Expedition. I enjoyed the video he showed and what he expressed about how he lived, what he ate, who went on the mission with him, and what his responsibilities were. It was very fun to be there and enjoy what he had to say. I’ve had other great experiences here such as the tour of the Webb telescope and other events around the center but the Hopkins event stood out to me.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO STUDENTS INTERESTED IN INTERNING AT NASA?
My advice would be to just apply yourself, and go for it. If you’re really interested in working at NASA, just prepare yourself to work on a really cool project that is relative to what you’re studying. This is a great place to work, the environment is friendly, and just prepare to have fun!
