Orbital ATK’s Cygnus spacecraft is comfortably in space this evening following a thunderous ride to orbit atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket. The spacecraft is stocked with more than 7,000 pounds of supplies and equipment for the International Space Station, including gear for continuing the scientific research on the orbiting laboratory.
