Launch Team Safing Rocket, Spacecraft

Orion has moved its power source to ground again following this hold. The launch team is also moving through its prescribed steps to make sure the rocket and spacecraft systems are safe out at the launch pad.

  1. I live in St. Augustine and was able to see the Space Shuttle launches from my front porch while listening to the launches on surround sound turned-up full blast! I’m hoping that the Orion mission will follow the same launch trajectory, so I know where to watch the sky. I assume, of course, that the Orion rocket will be able to be seen as well as the Shuttle missions from my porch.
