My family name,”Geier”, was originally spelled “Geyer” myGerman Father told me it means Vulture/Eagle, as in the 9 foot wingspan Lammergeier.
My goal as a child, was to help build a rocket to the moon. In 1966 I started my first job as an Engineer
for Grumman Aircraft. I was part of the Crew and Equipment Integration group, and helped design the interior of the Lunar Module
