Expedition 53 Commander Randy Bresnik and Flight Engineer Joe Acaba of NASA completed a 6 hour, 49 minute spacewalk at 2:36 p.m. EDT. The two astronauts installed a new camera system on the Canadarm2 robotic arm’s latching end effector, an HD camera on the starboard truss of the station and replaced a fuse on the Dextre robotic arm extension.
The duo worked quickly and were able to complete several “get ahead” tasks. Acaba greased the new end effector on the robotic arm. Bresnik installed a new radiator grapple bar. Bresnik completed prep work for one of two spare pump modules on separate stowage platforms to enable easier access for potential robotic replacement tasks in the future. He nearly finished prep work on the second, but that work will be completed by future spacewalkers.
This was the fifth spacewalk of Bresnik’s career (32 hours total spacewalking) and the third for Acaba (19 hours and 46 minutes total spacewalking). Space station crew members have conducted 205 spacewalks in support of assembly and maintenance of the orbiting laboratory. Spacewalkers have now spent a total of 53 days, 6 hours and 25 minutes working outside the station.

Howdy NASA,
Space suits should represent as one of experiments samples and should return to the Earth on the board of returning capsule after first use during the space walks to find the effects of a cosmic rays upon their materials also it’s important to add some extra sensors to measure ratio of these cosmic rays that passes through these materials, also it’s possible to install a different samples of a different materials to find which materials able to reflect a cosmic rays and which of them absorb it also which of them could not resist a cosmic rays, it’s a very important experiments may help to produce a suitable space suits via a suitable materials able to satisfy the requirements and protect astronaut’s life and health during their future space walks, because a space walks are the best practical opportunity to make these experiments to get these data, using a space suits twice is not safe due to exposure the cosmic rays which compose of a very high speed Neutron, Protons, a nucleus of atoms in a different values of mass and speed and Electrons, as well as electromagnetic waves in a different frequencies, extremely changes of the temperature due exposures a Sun heat rays without protection of Earth’s atmosphere then passing out the cald dark within a short periods continuously during their a space walks, these circumstances may result a dangerous distortions on the nature materials of these space suits, therefore it should been recorded precisely and find the required technical solutions to improve these space suits via choosing the suits materials for these extraordinarily tasks because a space walks are not our a unique target, but we have a much more a bigger duties and
tasks in the future space journeys, therefore we should prepare a suitable equipment, gear, machines etc to achieve our goals successfully.
Good luck.
Keep on achieving greater goals. Good luck
How old would you need to be and what degrees will I need to go to mars I’m 11 so in 2030 I’ll be 24

Best of luck to you! Stay determined in all that you do! Pay attention in school and do your best. Never give up!
Keep dreaming big you will get there ONE DAY
Congratulations to Astronauts for their BRAVELY Spacewalk.
I interested to know for my knowledge, what are the risk associated in Spacewalk. For instance, it might be other objects also moving in space.
Congratulations to Astronauts
Always glad to see the spacewalks but somehow always very releived when they are safely ended.
Whats casued the fuse to blow and the overcurrent condition?
Whomever this may concern,
Hello, my name is Keagan. I would just like to let you guys know ahead of time that I am going to become an astronaut one day. I cannot wait!! See ya soon 🙂 a.k.a. like 2 decades but still
Astronauts periodically check their spacesuit gloves for tears and rips due to working with sharp gear outside the space station.
Congratulations to Astronauts! Keep up the great work. It’ amazing, challenging and so inspiring!
Thank you…!!!
My felling now very happy because u this I means our gorgeous earth I’m watch now
I’m from India
I have only masters degree in Business Administration can I have any position in NASA

The land mass is central America seen in a very odd way with the wide-angle lens. We basically cross Mexico from southwest to northeast. The early part of the video is the Pacific coast in Mexico’s southwest (state of Jalisco), passing over the volcanoes near Lake Chapala (which appears in the middle of many of the frames), to the Gulf of Mexico near the end, at Brownsville, Texas.
Congratulations on your successful mission. Stay safe and thank you for the amazing view. Cudos!
