Russians Move from Longest Spacewalk to Shortest Cargo Delivery

Fresh off a record-breaking spacewalk last week, the International Space Station program is preparing for its first docking of a cargo craft in just two orbits. Back inside the orbital lab, the Expedition 54 crew researched how microgravity affects muscles to help humans on Earth.

Cosmonauts Alexander Misurkin and Anton Shkaplerov wrapped up the longest spacewalk in Russian space program history at eight hours and 13 minutes on Friday. The two station residents worked over the weekend stowing spacewalk tools, cleaning the Pirs airlock and checking their Orlan spacesuits.

The Russian Federal Space Agency is now preparing for the launch Sunday of its unpiloted Progress 69 resupply ship at 3:58 a.m. EST. After its launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the cargo craft will take two orbits around the Earth before automatically docking to the aft end of the Zvezda service module.

Astronauts Scott Tingle and Norishige Kanai observed mice on the space station being treated with a drug that may slow or reverse muscle atrophy. The rodents are housed in a special microgravity habitat for up to two months with results of the study helping scientists design therapies for humans with muscle-related ailments.

  1. Using 3D printers in a different values of Gravity Force.

    Howdy Cosmonauts,

Great appreciation for your Tremendous Efforts and Sacrifices in the field of Space Exploration and Exploitation, your Efforts Assembly with The Previous Pioneers are to get a required data to achieve deep space Journeys either in the solar system or even interstellar Successfully.

In respect to the Interstellar Space Journeys, logically in order to be able passing a tremendous distances such a several light-years away! We need to build a Spacecrafts a close life cycle ( such a little Earth) able  to regard The Cosmic Rays as a one of renewable energy source to run all ( Components and Machines etc.), in the meantime The Crew Members of these Spacecrafts should be as a Small Human Community with some sorts of Animals and Plantation.

Great to know that NASA has used a 3D Printer to produce 1 hot fire at Stennis also marked the third test of a 3D-printed pogo accumulator assembly for the RS-25 Engine, if there’s any plans to produce Rockets Spare Parts in The Space as one of future’s programs, therefore it is important to consider that one of main factors that 3D Printers depends to work normally is The Gravity Forces of The Earth, but if there are any plans to use 3D Printers in a Zero Gravity some Modifications required to this Components to make it able to do its function in a multi-environment, [Because that will need Materials Rushing System in The 3D Printer to Permits these components do their Function in The Zero Gravity Properly].

There’s also need to make some tests for these 3D Printers in The Space in The Zero Gravity environment, to find the best values of re-adjust in a different Circumstances, because some distortions may occurs for the products due to The Combinations of the two active forces:

a- The Materials Rushing System of The 3D Printer and Value.

b- The Gravity Force ( if there is any value ).

With a Computerized Mathematical Formola Calculations for These Constants and Variables during the producing operations at the same time, because it is important making the possibility of the automatically re-adjust 3D Printer to collaborate these two Effected Forces in The 3D Printers at the same time, in a different Gravity Forces values, (if there could be any Gravity Forces, either a micro-gravity around the Earth’s Orbit or an artificialy Gravity Which may also be one of future plans, or even a different values of Gravity Forces, if it planned to be used in The Moon Human’s Foundations or Mars Human’s Foundations etc), in order to permits these 3D Printers to save the same efficiency of 3D Printers and keep making same Precise and Fine Quality Productions as it makes their function when they are in Earth’s Gravity Environment Circumstances.

That’s for our LONG TERM SPACE PROGRAMS, either in The Vacuum Space or Moon Human’s Foundations or Mars Human’s Foundations or even for our future’s Interstellar and a Deep Space Programs to SATISFY OUR AMBITIONS of Space Exploration and Exploitation and achieve our Goals Successfully.

    Good luck.
